This Pu-erh tea is very good and I really like it. Also like Golden Moon's teas as they are pure tea and do not have the metallic taste that many tea companies tea has. Service and shipping is fast and great also!

An absolutely excellent Puerh. I add a touch of Stevia, and the flavor is very smooth, tasty, and of a very high quality. I'm glad I bought a pound of it!

Great Tea
When my regular tea supplier dropped Pu Ehr tea, I found it at Golden Moon. Excellent tea that you can double infuse. Pu Ehr is a very hearty tea and this loose leaf variety is one of the best I have ever tried.

Pu-erh
This has been my first time trying Pu-erh. I found the smell very enjoyable! The taste is very rich and a bit complicated to describe. With each taste I can find new descriptions: earthy, rich, bold, firm, pleasant. It almost reminds me of a mushroom tea, which is quite good! I am enjoying this tea!

Fantastic Pu-ehr!
I have tried quite a few Pu-erh’s and most of them are lacking flavor, richness and are just plain bad. This Pu-ehr it’s amazing! It has the earthy flavor and richness I have come to love in my tea. This tea isn’t for everyone but it is definitely in my top 5!

I love this Pu-Ehr!
I “discovered” Pu-Ehr tea about a year ago. I had read about it’s health benefits and wanted to try it. I got some tea bags (organic) and liked it a lot but it was hard to find in local shops and the few types I tried were good but inconsistent. When I saw Golden Moon Tea has Pu-Ehr I ordered some. I love it!!! It’s rich and smooth and the flavor is so good. It has the fermented smell which I like but some people may find weird but I urge you to get past the smell if you don’t like it because it’s such a good tea flavor. This is my favorite tea. A tip- I ordered the spoon so I’d get the right amount of loose leaves in each pot. It helped makes every pot the same. Definitely worth a few dollars more!

Very nice
I was expecting the flavor to be way more intense, I didn't know what to expect but I do love to brew beer and make other fermented things. It has a nice, mild, fermented, umami flavor that just comes across as a nice black tea with a slight fermented note.

Rich earthy tea
Very dark rich tea. Wonderful with alittle organic honey and iced for a summer pick me up. Even my husband enjoyed it iced.

Mild but fishy
The flavor was good - mild black tea (I drank it straight to get an idea of the flavor without cream or sugar or anything). However, it had a 'fishy' aroma that wasn't pleasant. I had both my husband and son try a bit and while they liked the taste, the smell was off-putting. Guess the fermented-ness just isn't our cup of tea

Thumbs up
When I read the reviews about this tea I found out the one either loves it or not, nothing in between. I decided to order it anyway and give it a try. I love it. I love it’s earthy flavor and scent. It was a good choice for me, however it may not be for everyone.

One for me, one for a gift
I've heard people say that Pu-erh is an acquired taste, but not so for me... I liked it from the very first cup. Rich, deeply flavored brew that pairs well with milk (dairy or other), and I occasionally add honey for a treat. Golden Moon used to sell a pu-erh chai (several years ago) that I loved, so adding the chai spices is another idea. Usually, though, I brew it strong and add a dash of milk. Delicious!

Fermented Tea? I thought could that be good? It couldn't right? I gave it a try. Nothing ventured nothing gained and boy am I glad I did. WOW!!! Fermented tea where have you been? I found a new favorite tea. I expected a sour taste but that was not the case. This tea was complex and satisfying. It's now my afternoon pick me up.

My go to tea for relaxation & meditation . .
I never heard of pu-erh tea before until I watch the documentary "All In This Tea".
I was intrigued by the thought of an aged tea. I was also unaware of how mild a black tea could be, because other black teas I have tasted before were bitter and sharp.
I do not know where some of the other reviewers here get the idea the pu-erh tea smells or taste like rotten fish, it has an earthly, mild aroma which is why I like it for relaxation and meditation.
Of course everyone has their preferences so other reviewers who have expressed their feelings about the aroma may decide to choose another tea. I prefer to order tea pu-erh tea over most others because of the simple, plain, earthy aroma and taste.
I also am looking forward to my regular order with Golden Moon Tea. I was like other reviewers here who found pu-erh tea but later wanted to get more & could not, I do not want to be without again.

Strong Smell of Dead Fish
Apparently some reviewers like this tea but I don't understand why. I guess it's a matter of taste.
Only once in our decades of drinking tea had we dumped a pot of tea as undrinkable, until this one. We found the strong smell of rotting fish to be overwhelming. The taste was just a unpleasant. Color was nice and dark. Unless you know this tea and like it, you should avoid it.

pu-erh tea
I originally found pu-erh Chai tea in a Home Goods store. I brewed and drank the tea in two weeks. When I went back for more, I was told that they did not always have that brand of tea. They bought odd lots of various tea brands. I went to the internet and found Pu-erhs web site. I ordered several different teas. They were all really clean, full flavored and I enjoyed each one.

Best Tasting Pu-erh I have tasted so far
I am drinking Pu-erh for health reasons so I tried Pu-erh from several different sources before I tried Golden Moon's. Pu-erh from Golden Moon tasted the best, maybe because there is no added artificial ingredients and USDA organic. I truly recommend this Pu-erh tea.
Thanks Golden Moon for providing us with pure tea without any added ingredients.

Great tea. Give it a quick rinse with hot water before steeping. Comes out with a deep complex flavor and is great instead off coffee. Add a little milk or have it straight up, good either way and needs no sweetener.

I wanted to expand my tea selection from my usual Tie Guan Yin Oolong. Reading about Puerh, it intrigued me. I was a little hesitant that it would be a strong, astringent tea.
